“Calmness of mind is one of the most beautiful jewels of wisdom.”
– James Allen
Hello! My name is Yvonne Kafor. I am a lawyer, entrepreneur, mentor, coach, and founder of NPO-Florence Youth Development Program.
As a child, I often wondered why my parents couldn’t have a peaceful conflict. Was it really that difficult to maintain peace in conflict? For them it was difficult, and it is for many adults today. The outcome of watching the two most important adults in my life fail at peaceful conflict resolution led my soul to seek peace in my life at all costs. That unapologetic peace that has no fears or regrets. As a divorce and custody coach, my goal is to help my clients enjoy a calm mind through the family law litigation process by educating, empowering and supporting them throughout the process.
For more than 15 years, I worked with many families in uncontested and contested family law cases. As a mediator, I have mediated family law cases dealing with variety of issues.
For over a decade, I watched parties go through one of the most difficult times in their lives with little or no confidence in the legal process. Some were mentally broken, intimidated, confused, stressed, and financially drained by the end of their cases. With many great attorneys and therapists providing professional help to these families, I always thought there was a missing link in the family law process. My role as a coach complements the attorney and therapist by providing the clients supportive direction on managing the emotional and business aspects of the litigation process.
No one should have to spend their life savings to go through a divorce or custody battle. No one should have to deal with a mental breakdown because of a divorce or custody battle. With my personal and professional experience, I want to help you get through your battle like the champion that you are.
